Seat Sensor.In-House Development.
The Meine Taxis seat sensor is our own development: a small BLE sensor that reliably detects whether a seat is occupied — and transmits this information directly to the GPS tracker.
From Sensor to Platform
Sensor Mounted
The sensor is discreetly fixed under the passenger seat and detects seat load via a pressure or capacitive switch.
BLE Signal to Tracker
The sensor sends occupancy status via BLE to the GPS tracker, which encodes it as IO element 331 in the data stream.
Data on the Platform
Occupancy data feeds into fare-evasion detection, passenger counting and AI analysis — for more precise results and fewer false alarms.
Benefits at a Glance
Taximeter-Independent
Even when the taximeter is not running, the sensor captures passenger presence — essential for complete fare-evasion detection.
In-House Development
The sensor was developed specifically for the Meine Taxis platform and is precisely matched to the Teltonika tracker's IO protocol.
Low Maintenance
Battery-powered with long runtime — a replacement takes just a few minutes and requires no specialist knowledge.
Better Analysis Precision
Combined with GPS data and taximeter status, the sensor enables the most accurate fare-evasion detection available.
